Reopening Strategy

We have been developing a plan for several weeks as to how to protect as much as possible those who choose to worship face-to-face for live worship services.  We will continue to look at the plan from week to week to see where changes may need to take place, but this is where we will begin.  Our goal is to provide for the safety and security of all members and guests as much as we are able so your focus may be on worshiping our wonderful God.

Our plan

  • We will meet at 1030am for our worship service.
  • Communion will be offered but not passed in trays.  We have purchased individual cups of grape juice that are sealed with a plastic lid that also has a piece of communion bread sealed in plastic on top of the cup.  The communion supplies will be handed to you as you enter.  During communion you may open the container and participate in this part of the service.  As you exit the building please throw away your communion supplies.  We will have an usher at each door with a container to place your financial offering into.
  • We are requiring everyone to wear a mask while on campus during this beginning phase.  Please bring your own if you have one.  We will have masks available as you enter the building.  We also will have gloves available if you wish to use them.
  • We will NOT have a staffed nursery or children’s program until we feel it is safe.  Children will stay with their parents during the worship service and we will provide “goody” bags so that the children can be occupied during service.  We do ask that parents accompany children to the restroom to ensure sanitation for the child as well as future worshipers.
  • We will ensure the building is clean before services.
  • We will NOT have a coffee bar as we usually have but will have water bottles on the coffee bar for you.
  • Greeters will open the outside doors for you before and after services.
  • Every other row of chairs will be available for seating with the other rows taped off.  We do encourage social distancing and discourage hugs, handshakes and so forth.
  • Water fountains will be turned off to diminish the possibility of spreading of the virus.
  • If you are feeling ill or exhibiting symptoms of any kind as well as the corona virus, please remain home to protect others at worship services.
  • If you do not feel comfortable returning to church services, we will be live streaming during the 9am service and it will be available to view even after that service.  We want all to continue to be able to worship even at home.

Please Continue to be in prayer

The situation continues to change rapidly, and we will continue to evaluate our plan as needed.  Continue to be safe and reach out to us if you have a prayer request or praise report.  Please continue to pray for us as your leaders, that we keep seeking God during this time.  Thank you again for all you do and who you are by the power of God.
